Personnel Management - Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work—identify the best people for the job
Concrete Construction and Finishing – A strong background in concrete construction is a plus
Math - Must be able to, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and correctly. Must have a basic knowledge of algebra and geometry and be able to perform conversions such as sq. ft. to cubic yards. Must be able to calculate squaring and the hypotenuse of a right angle.
Time Management - Manage own time and the time of others
Active Listening - Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, do not interrupt
Communication - Convey information effectively verbally and in writing
Instruction - Ability to train effectively and provide construction criticism in a way that encourages improvement and a positive attitude

JOB TASKS
- Plan your workday, communicate plans with your crew of laborers and concrete finishers, assign tasks, supervise work, work with your crew
- Assume responsibility for tools, truck, and equipment
- Communicate clearly and effectively with your crew, customers, and the office
- Complete paperwork in an accurate, legible and timely manner on a daily basis, or as the office requires
- Demand quality work in yourself and your crew
- Perform a thorough and detailed clean-up after every workday
- Monitor and adhere to all safety requirements
- Be able to handle several tasks consecutively
- Confer with management, other crew leaders, and/or personnel to ensure production and personnel challenges are resolved
- Suggest and initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and hires
- Analyze and resolve worker challenges and recommend motivational plans
- Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are being met
- Analyze job and estimate material and worker requirements needed to complete a job within budget and on time
- Read specifications, such as blueprints and other data, to determine construction requirements
- Locate, measure, and mark location and placement of structures and equipment
- Train workers in quality construction methods and proper operation of equipment
- Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety
- Collaborate with architects to solve jobsite challenges
- Be able to manage 2 - 3 projects concurrently
- Coordinate, review and manage projects with sub-contractors
